Site of treated shaft to Gas Coal (given MRA coordinates place this under grassland beside junction of Acre Road & Acre Drive). See Garscube Colliery [Site #8123] for background info.

Notes: Given coordinates based on MRA map. Geological Survey map shows shaft further E at [NS 55963 70268], labelled "about 100 Fms [183m] to Gas Coal", although MRA only shows one shaft around this locality.
