Mine (Coal), 19th cent.
Shaft buried under grassland or car park of science park unit. Initially an early coal pit shown as abandoned on the 1st Ed. OS map, but evidently re-opened by 1893 as depicted as an active coal pit on the 2nd ed. OS map.
