South of Meallan Fulann, close to Goat Cave and adjacent rock arch, 20 m high cliff appears irregular. Basalt of lower entablature merges with separation layer and short columnar layer above - possibly indication of considerable erosion between lava flows. Above lowest layer but below small & irregular columns of middle lava flow, diagonal rift in cliff face (NM 32760 35585), at 45 deg, following slope of cliff, 8.0 m wide, 5 m deep & 1.0 m high overhang rapidly closes to 4.5 m wide. Due to confusion in numbering system during 2006 survey, referred to as Un-named Cave 9 but should more properly be called Rock Shelter 8.

Alternative Names: None recorded.
