An intertidal, double rift sea cave at the end of a long and fairly deep geo which runs SE by S.

The two parallel rifts lean about 30 degrees NE by E. The first and fairly tall part of the cave is bounded by the rifts - see photo 2. It extends 9 m from the entrance, and is 2.8 m wide at the entrance.

The inner tunnel is formed on the SW rift and extends the rest of its length, ending in a beach and a wall end.

Notes: Access: by sea eg from Newtonhill harbour southward, at all states of the tide, given low swell from SE.

By land via Mill of Muchalls or to the coastal path and from NO 90185 91026 going to the point then down a moderate slope onto the wave-cut platform. Access to view only (without ropes).
