Leave path at edge of forest, follow fence & dyke over small ridges to grassy depression. Meandering stream flows from Claon Uamh rising & sinks next to fence. Over next ridge is Rockshelter III and 25 m to NE is Claon Uamh. Entrance few metres from stream sink excavated by GSG 1978 in loose rock under limestone outcrop. Short slither to minute chamber with 2 ways on, straight or down to right into main cave. 25 m dip is essentially one chamber 20 m along strike. Roof varies 20 cm to 3 m with perched boulders. To right is 7 m of passage with small helictites half-way along. To left large section of littered with fallen flowstone and curtain Two passages up dip through loose boulders towards stream sink on surface. Several holes down dip to 2 m climb into another section. Left traverse reaches top of 1.5 m diameter tube leading down 8 m to RH bend which ends after 3 m at ½ m deep pool. Down from climb past 2 groups of straws stream flows 7 m over boulders. At junction with 2nd stream both flow into impassable slot. In large chamber right traverse over muddy boulders reaches another section which funnels down 2 m hole on far right. 10 m of passage (6 m passable) at foot of hole with stream visible at far end.
