East end of the active railway tunnel from Bridgeton to Glasgow Green on the Argyle Line.

Notes: The Argyle or (Glasgow Central Low Level line) eventually passing under Argyle Street, once one of Glasgow's main transport routes and still one of Glasgows major shopping streets).
Bridgeton Station was opened in 1895 as Bridgeton Cross by the Glasgow Central Railway on the line from Rutherglen via Glasgow Central to Maryhill (Central), the station closed in 1964. It was reopened in 1979 as Bridgeton. [Thompson]
The culverted Camlachie Burn passes under Bridgeton Station.
