Mine (coal & ironstone), 19th Century.
Marked on 1856 OS map as 'Barbauchlaw Pit No2 (Coal & Ironstone)', served by tram road. Pit demolished prior to 1895, as shown by 2nd ed. OS map.
Site now buried below the back garden of either 117 or 119 Mount Pleasant, Armadale (according to geol. survey & MRA maps).
