Mine (Limestone / Coal). 19th Century.
Modest-scale pillar-and-stall workings that extended c.430 m from E to W, and had two mine mouths within an area of opencast workings. The site is now infilled, just W of a track that crosses underlying passageways. An access tunnel connected the workings to a smaller drift mine located to the NE.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: It is possible that the level in coal was a drainage adit for a mine in the overlying limestone. Mine mouth marked on geol. map.
