Culvert outfall on line of Knowle Burn and Knowle Burn Mill Lade Overflow. Probably formed when the retail park was constructed. It is likely that the overflow which originally followed a curve southwest the north west was rerouted to avoid the new buildings running south along the east side of the site then passing westwards under the carpark. The former outlet from the overflow was the now lost Dumbarton & Balloch [D&B] Railway siding outlet [registry.gsg.org.uk/sr/sitedetails.php?id=9207] upstream to the northnorthwest.
Alternative Names: Mill Burn or Gasworks Burn (St James Park Outfall)
