"Serving Addiewell Oil Works. Probably linked underground to Addiewell No. 1 pit, No.2 pit and No.6 pit. Mapped by the Ordnance Survey of c.1895, appears to show pithead buildings intact, but probably out of use." [Scottish Shale]
