Culvert inlet on the line of the Garscadden Burn, north of Great Western Road.
The culvert was originally constructed in 1930 to allow the burn to flow under the raised section of Great Western Road where it passes over the Forth and Clyde Canal at Cloberhill. The 1930sinlet was probably incorporated into a longer culvert in the 1960s when the burn upstream of Cloberhill was also culverted (possibly diverted onto the former line of the Forth and Clyde Canal). Further alterations to the culvert were made c, 2000 when the canal was reopened.
