Site of shaft located at E end of bing structure on E bank of the Bellow Water.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Labelled 'Old Ironstone Pit' with spoil mound on 1860 OS map, but 'Old Shaft (Coal)' on 1896 Ed.
Not to be confused with the Mosshouse (No.1) Pit located further NE.
