Salt Water Reeva north cave (W entrance)

Seaward or western entrance to the northern natural arch leading to Salt Water (or South) Reeva. The cave tunnel faces WNW (298 degrees).

The northern of a pair of tunnels connecting the South Reeva gloup to the sea. Coordinates indicate the western (seaward) end of the tunnel. Photographs from clifftops indicate the tunnel is well illuminated. Tunnel floor appears bouldery and relatively shallow (at or above chart datum). Tunnel length estimated at ~50 m based on GIS measurements. [Report 1145]

1st Ed OS 6 in has 'Natural Arch', near this northern one of what are actually two at the west end of Salt Water Reeva. A current hires OS layer has 'Natural Arch' twice and double lines representing the tunnels. 'Natural Arch' is often applied to quite long tunnels in both northern and western isles.
