Hole - From Sheep's Head Cave, follow the line of the gulley feeding the sink uphill to the southeast along Granite/Limestone boundary. Just short of highest point of woodland is an open hole, 6.1 m climb down through chamber to small pool.
Alternative Names: C.G. 38, Coille Gaireallach [38]
Notes: Coille Gaireallach is part of the Strath SSSI. Best example of an Oak and Birch/Hazel wood developed on Durness limestone. Situated on a gentle north-facing slope, a rich limestone ground flora alternates with acid heath and flushes, with open areas and sink holes.
