This subtidal cave has an outer chamber 15m long aligned 234 (SW by W), connected to an inner one aligned 175 (S), which is only navigable near low water. The inner chamber has a narrow tunnel 5m long at its far side which ends in a smooth rock wall and there appear to be side tunnels - from the way water sloshes about to and from them.

Notes: Access: by sea eg from Gardenstown. Needs low tide and low swell to get into the inner chamber.

A survey for length was carried out on 8 Jun 21 by N Feilden using a laser range finder. The result is less accurate than it would have been if the swell had been less.

OS 1st Ed 25" shows one cave named Booth's Clock. There are, in fact, two caves close together in the mapped location.
Photo 1 taken on 31 May 21 shows the entrances of both caves near high water.

Photo 3 looking into the cave near low water. The passage to the inner chamber is left round the rock like a stubby finger pointing right.
Photo 4 inside the cave near high water. The inner cave would be completely swamped at high water.
Photo 5 inside the inner chamber showing the tunnel on the far side which appeared to be the stalk of a 'T'. The extent of the tunnels forming the bar of the T is unknown and would require swimming on a very calm day.
