Railway tunnel (19th Century), active.
Built in 1842 to allow the Edinburgh-Glasgow railway to pass below the Forth & Clyde Canal. Extends from NS 5927 6577 (Killermont St) to NS 5963 6662 (NW side of Broom Hill).
Alternate Names: Queen Street Tunnel, Queen Street Station Tunnel, Queen Street High Level Tunnel
Notes: Given coordinates are for the northern entrance (Cowlairs Incline).
Not to be confused with the separate Buchanan Street Tunnel, the S entrance of which overlies a section of the Cowlairs Tunnel.
