Mines (coal & ironstone), sites of.
Coal mine adit marked on geol. survey map. Followed the Upper (or Four Foot) Coal seam. Shows air shaft at NT 04640 93050, whilst the 1855 6" OS map marks Old Pit (Ironstone) just uphill of the coal mine. 2nd ed. OS maps show N-S trending track down to the main road (B914), via what would become Pit No.2.
