Ironstone Pit (late 19th Century).
Clayband & blackband ironstone levels at 56 fms [102 m] and 26 fms, respectively. Shaft site located at NW edge of overgrown associated bing at surface.

Dalry Blackband and Clayband ironstone seams at 26 and 56 fathoms, respectively.
Additional Ironstone Pit (with Blackband Ironstone seam at 55 m depth) shown on Geological Survey map, c.100 m to SW [NS 2991 5165]. Regional abandonment plan (AP12409.2) shows 'Pit 33' at the given coordinates (in line with Hagsthorn).
Hagsthorn is name for now-lost hamlet that stood along the main road just N of Lintseedridge.
