Ironstone Pits (19th Century).
Moderate-scale blackband ironstone complex comprising works from Kilbirnie pits No.2, 5, 6, 8 & 15.
Kilbirnie No.15 is part of a cluster of seven partially-labelled pits; [NS 2971 5364] (No 2, Old Ironstone Pit), [NS 2982 5383] (No 5), [NS 2968 5378] (No 6), [NS 2970 5391] (No 19), [NS 2964 5385], and [NS 2984 5390].
