Culvert , south to north parallel to Robert Street, Port Glasgow taking the Mill Dam Burn under the old back lane to Barr's Brae (in the 1840s built over by the Caledonian Railway) and Bay Street (originally on the south side of Port Glasgow harbour).
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Robert Street no longer exists except as a blocked rail bridge adjacent to the surviving Gourock Ropeworks building. In the 1970s, a new wider road was constructed east of the original. If the culvert followed the line of the burn then it was west of the road and would now run under the Ropeworks building car park. As the old line was undisturbed by the new road it is assumed the older culvert remained on its original line.
The original inlet was possibly incorporated in a longer culvert
