Inlet to the culvert on line of Whitecroft Burn passing under the remains of the Gourock Ropeworks ropewalk on the south side of the Caledonian Railway Gourock Branch, the railway, George Street and Bay Street to the harbour wet dock (and through the wet dock to the Clyde).
As yet, there is no indication of where the outfall was located but the most likely location was on the north side of Bay Street, east of the Port Glasgow Public Baths [now under the A78].
If not now intercepted by modern drainage, the original culvert must have been extended under Coronation Park to the Clyde [outfall not identified].
Alternative Names: Windyhall Burn [Bay Street Inlet]
Notes: Whitecroft was upstream and Windyhall was closer to the ropewalk.
Hydrographic Feeds: Whitecroft Burn
Hydrographic Resurgences: Port Glasgow Harbour [Wet Dock] and the River Clyde
