Mine (Ironstone), late 19th Century.
Shaft site now buried below field. Little or no trace of the adjacent spoil mound that is shown on 2nd Ed. OS map (cf. infill of shaft).
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: No evidence of mine on 1866 OS map (surveyed 1859), but spoil mound beside abandoned pit evident on 1896 Ed. (surveyed 1894).
Geol. survey map annotates this pit with "No.4 72 fms" [131.7m]
