Mine (Ironstone).
Probably late 19th Century. Shaft site buried below field, c. 70m E of associated bing structure.

Notes: Name from BGS. Depth from geol. survey map that states "IS at 18 fms" (ironstone at 33m).
No evidence of mine on 1866 OS map (surveyed 1859), but spoil mound beside abandoned pit evident on 1896 Ed. (surveyed 1894).
