Mine (Ironstone), c.1880s.
Workings which partially extended NE under the canal for a short distance (surveyed 1882) are contiguous with those from Gartscube No.1 / Skaterigg No.15. Shaft buried under sports club grounds (built on the site of the former Gartscube Brick & Tile Works), which landscaped the mine's bing for construction.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Given coordinates are for Pit No.6. Site of No.5 Pit c.40 m to NE [NS 5476 6968] (locations based on MRA map, names based on AP). Brick & Tile Works probably post-date the mine workings.
