Mine (Blaes, Fireclay), mid 20th c.
Relatively small-scale grid-like complex of workings in separate seams from separate adjacent adits. Those in No.1 Fireclay & No. 2 Blaes seams abandoned by Darngavil Brickworks Ltd in 1949 & 1951, respectively. In the blaes, a c.200m long passage extended SW to an air pit at approx [NS 7853 7012]. See abandonment plans (in refs) for detailed layout. Adits / shafts probably buried below woodland / shrubland.
