Old Shaft marked on Geological Survey map approximately halfway between Stair Shaft and Westhaugh Shaft. 2nd shaft marked a short distance to the SW on MRA plan.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Arbitrary name taken from line of grey patches seen on aerial photograph apparently formerly bings on the line of the two foot coal seam, now cleared and ploughed flat. Site of shaft shown as dark patch in ploughed field.
