The OS Namebook (OS1/1/22/146) has: Silver Cave - A fine cave running right under the stables of Slains Castle.
1st Ed shows a 40m cave running from the end of the geo - but it currently looks as if the entrance, has been largely filled by the beach and perhaps, fallen rocks - see photo 1 & 2. Photo 3 is a bit more hopeful.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Access: by sea from Port Errol, Cruden Bay, and a landing.
by abseil down a steep cliff
Awaits a landing or abseil to look close up and inside.
A guide to the ruins of Slains Castle suggests a mysterious tunnel lies under Slains Castle and connects to the Silver Cave however like most such mystery tunnels if it ever existed it is now sealed and the entrance lost .
