An upper intertidal missing layer cave, facing SSE. The layers are at about 21 degrees from horizontal, rising to the E.
The horizontal width is about 22 m. It has 3 small extensions. The one at the bottom is 2.2 m long and is included in the length given above. The other two extend up slope and are not included.

Notes: Access: by sea from Port Errol, Cruden Bay
by land along the coastal footpath to New Slains castle from the carpark at NK 09303 36223. Note that if you attempt to walk from the harbour, you have to ford a burn.
Then beyond the castle, down cliff from about NK 10318 36244.
