*cave (Kay Hole S)

Altitude was measured on 21/3/26 and is ACD. Length estimated 20-30 m, height estimated at 10 m over 5 m water depth and estimated width 2.5 m on that date by N Feilden.

Kay Hole is "a narrow inlet immediately north of Findon Ness bounded by high precipitous cliffs" OS1/19/2/120.

The 1st Ed OS 25in map has 'cave' and (possibly) a rather faint tunnel outline. If this is correct then it may indicate about 20 m length.

BGS 1:10000 NO99NW solid & drift 1996 shows a fault running along the N side of Findon Ness and into Kay Hole (geo). The joint on which this cave is formed appears to be parallel to that fault.
