A tall, short seacave/overhang which is 34 m NNW of the Dovat Cave. It has an aven in the top, SW corner.

From 2001 K'nocker: "A very striking cave near this spot is the Meikle Cave of the Divot .. . here upwards of a century ago a wrecked Dutch crew succeeded in affecting a landing and saving themselves.

Tradition has it that on reaching the top of the cliff they licked the ground and thence the name of the cave."
