A concrete outfall connects to an approximately 2 m diameter culvert - discharging into a balancing pond (which incorporateds the earlier open section of stream). The open section of stream ran roughly southwards to the north side of Conon Avenue where it once more disappeared below ground. Now the culvert discharges direct into the balancing pond

Scottish civil engineering firm RJ McLeod were sentenced [2023] after admitting in court that its breaches of health and safety regulations led to the death of a 10-year-old boy on its construction site for a flood alleviation project in Glasgow in 2020. [New Civil Engineer]

Notes: Photos of this type of culvert seen elsewhere suggest the upper half of the culvert may be a hemisphere while the lower half is compressed to a shallow ellipse.
