A subtidal rift sea cave in the cliffs below the southeast side of Lud Castle promontory fort near Auchmithie. Wide entrance rises almost to the top of the 40 m high cliffs. Sea birds nest on the upper ledges.

Notes: Access: by sea only - eg from Arbroath harbours.
This cave is formed on a joint which appears to be parallel to that of Lud Castle Cave, on the NW side, but they are not linked inside.
VR and alt are visual estimates. The length above is the maximum possible given the direction of the cave and the width of the promontory. It has not been measured yet.
