An intertidal sea cave at the foot of cliffs south-west of Gaylet Pot near Auchmithie.
It has a wide (9.9 m), tall and quite short funnel entrance. There is a large, quite long rock dividing the entrance unequally. This narrows down to a quite narrow (2.8 m wide x 8.8 m dH) rift cave with a shallow pool, but with extremely slippery, rounded boulders covered in a pale coffee mud. It faces nearly due S. The end curves round to the left, but this was not measured on 23/4/22 because of the pool and the mud.
Alternate Names: None recorded.
Notes: Access: As for Dark Cave, in bottom 1/3 of tide. Go through the Dark Cave, to the end of the pebble beach and carry on round the rocky foreshore as far as you can go.
Altititude is Above Chart Datum (ACD) and based on the tide level in photo 3.
