A small supratidal cave which would originally have been about half way up the lowish cliff. Entrance is slot 3.8 m x 0.5 m at an angle of 15 deg, rising on N side, with a larger 1.3m high triangle on S side. It faces about NW. Inside there is a small 'den' extending 4 m to SW and there is a short tunnel E whose end is 6 m from the entrance. There is a pillar a little to N of the middle of the entrance slot and set back a metre or so. The den is 2.1 m high. Behind (E of) the pillar is a slightly longer tunnel sloping up NE ish which is crawl height. It opens to a 'look out post' which is open overhead and has an 'arrow slit' like view NW over the sea.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Access: Either W from Covesea village, or E from the old Coastguard lookout to a point near NJ 18513 70919 where the path goes W for 170 m or so to a lower path, from which you can go either way, but in this case E to the end of the beach.
Altitude is above Chart Datum and is a visual estimate.
