N sea cave entrance of a tunnel to Kirn of Skroo. Probably runs 035 degrees (NE by N) - see notes below.
Reported location of Kirn of Skroo N entrance. Coordinates based on Ordnance Survey map. Alternative (GSG) coordinates gives the position of Kirn of Skroo N entrance as ~30 m west of this position. [Report 1145]
Alternative Names: GSG30 (Report 1145)
Notes: The above NGR is based on a) the OS showing this entrance in the SE corner of the geo b) Bing Aerial indicating something similar, but not clearly c) the photo of the S entrance indicating that the tunnel follows the strike of the sandstone bedding ie 035 degrees based on the east side of Cristal Kame.
A well lit photo into the geo from the cliff to the S end of Cristal Kame would be helpful.
