The south entrance to a tunnel running 062 degrees (ENE) to a NE entrance in the end of a promontory in the cliffs.

Kirn of Skroo gloup. Reportedly connected to the sea by a tunnel to the N linking to GSG30. This gives a tunnel length of ~70 m measured on GIS. Image from rim of gloup shows the N tunnel leading off with light penetrating through from the seaward end. The floor of the tunnel is shallow with many boulders breaking the surface (>0.8 mACD). Well illuminated with boulders coated in coralline crusts. Also reportedly connected to sea by a tunnel leading to the NE to reach the sea at GSG31. This gives a tunnel length of ~100 m measured on GIS. Image from rim of gloup shows the NE tunnel leading off but does not provide a clear view within the tunnel. [Report 1145]

Alternative Names: CI79

Notes: The length is calculated from the NGRs.

A look at the marked up Bing Aerial shows that GSG32 is close (30 m away) to this tunnel. Is it connected to it ?

This gloup (see gloup list below) has two tunnels connected to it - as does Salt Water Reeva (W coast of Fair Isle)
