Mine (Ironstone & Coal), mid 19th c.
Site repurposed as Faskine Colliery that was producing coal c.1910. An 1861 fatality report from this colliery states "There are two seams of ironstone in this pit, the upper at 12 fathoms from the surface, and the lower at 40 fathoms."
