Adjacent shaft sites to longwall workings, located just SW of junction of Cowdenhill Road with Baldwin Ave. Closed in 1888.

No.1 Pit at [NS 53740 69768], No.4 Pit at [53731 69796] (based on BGS GeoIndex). Given depth is to blackband ironstone in No.1 Pit.
