Phulpin Cave 1 (west entrance)

A supratidal, vertical rift tunnel running E by S and about 1m above HWS. Was probably longer on W side some time ago. Interior clearly gouged and polished by seawater corrasion so has probably been subject to some uplift. Has a small side cave to S 4m from W entrance.

Notes: Access: by land in lower half of the tide from a track starting at NJ 48699 68486.

K'nocker 2001, p5. This has Phulpin Cave in a list of names of rocks and a couple of caves with no description.
Photo 1 this entrance is the dark shadow a little left of middle and about half way up the frame. Taken 18/7/24.
