Shaft buried below area of open grassland in residential area. Colliery site formerly at SE end of mineral railway (Bellsdyke Branch of the Monkland Line), depicted on 1898 OS map. Bellsdyke No.5 Pit was located c.80m further NE at ~[NS 76533 64544].
