Mine (Fireclay), early 20th Century.
Relatively small section of pillar-and-stall workings in the 'Upper Leaf' fireclay seam, separate from those of Damhead No.1 Mine on the E side of the Shotts Burn. Abandoned by Calder Fireclay Co in 1933.
