Mine (Fireclay), 20th Century.

The 'Lower Leaf' seam workings were located SW of the mine mouth for this separated western mine of the Damhead Mine complex, around Bellside Farm. The Upper Leaf workings were more extensive, had several additional adits (particularly E of Bailside Farm), and extended further S as far a point just SW of the Bellside Rd / Budshaw Farm Rd junction. The mine was operated by Bonnybridge Silica & Fireclay Co., and closed in 1966.
