Mine (Coal), mid-19th cent.
Shaft sunk before 1848 to Knightswood Gas Coal at depth of 47 fms [86m]. Situated at N margin of extensive longwall workings, shown on mine plan S4197. MRA map suggests that this shaft is now buried below either a front garden or pavement on NW margin of Waldemar Road.
