Based on observation of Report 1145 site CI10, this is the NE entrance of a tunnel which goes right through South Gavel.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Needs a) photo of this entrance and b) passage through the tunnel to/from the SW end.
The above NGR is based on the observation in report 1145 that light from this end was seen at mid tide from the SW end and that the tunnel must therefore be straight and follow the strike of the sandstone layers. It seems to be on the cliff top, but that is an allowance for the lean NW of those layers. N Feilden.
