'Viewed from cliff tops 18/8/21. A complex of arches / tunnels appear to be present running SW to NE through Skervalie. The passages are in the form of tall rifts inclined to the NW. The position indicates the location of a short intertidal arch.' [Report 1145]

The gloup, which is about 10 m long, on the landward side of the arch may be a blow-hole in rough weather from the north east.
