'Entered by snorkeller 19/8/21. Wave surged so assessment limited to entrance area. Two adjacent entrances (CI10 & CI11).
CI10 entrance estimated as ~5 m wide at waterline and ceiling ~12m ACD. Floor of large boulders with some breaking surface. Water depth estimated ~2 m BCD at entrance and shallowing to less than 1 m BCD within 10 m of roof closure. Passage a high rift inclined to NW with light penetrating through from eastern side. Probably links through to NS05 on the east side of Bu Ness (~145 m distance by GIS). ' [Report 1145].
Alternative Names: CI10
Notes: NS05 is quite a bit too far north to be the NE entrance because the tunnel is straight and aligned with the strike (NE/SW) of the sandstone layers.
Length calculated from this NGR and that of the NE entrance. See entry for NE entrance for explanation of its estimated NGR.
