A partly intertidal seacave immediately SE of Wine Cove (1). About 13m wide at the entrance, the intertidal part is about 20m S of the entrance, after which there is a beach with a rather shallow slope partly of large pebbles and with quite a rock garden of 1-2m scale lumps of conglomerate which have, presumably fallen from the ceiling. This is unlike Wine Cove (1) which has no such lumps on its steep beach - probably because wave action is much more vigorous there, as it is directly receiving swell from the NE quadrant straight down the geo.
The tunnel swings quite sharply round to the right - but has not been explored to the end yet (Sep 20).
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Length is a guesstimate. VR and alt are visual estimates. Width estimated from aerial. Nigel Feilden.
This cave and the neighbouring Wine Cove (1) are a haul-out site for grey seals.
