A short, inclined cave formed along a shear zone within Lewisian Gneiss at the western extremity of Geodha nam Bàirneach. The 0.7m-wide entrance is ~4m in height, but quickly closes down to a 1.8m-tall terminal wall after just 5m. Located close to a steep grassy access gully (that has formed along a major fault juxtaposing Cambrian quartzite with Lewisian Gneiss), and although the cave appears to be supratidal, the presence of flotsam within implies flooding during stormy conditions.
Alternative Names: Barnacle Bay Cave
Notes: Geodha nam Bàirneach means 'cove of the barnacle/limpet' in Gaelic.
