This cave, marked on OS maps, is visible from the adjacent clifftop but requires a boat for access due to it being present within a geo that is entirely bound by 30m-tall cliffs. It has a triangular shaped entrance that appears to have formed along a mechanically weaker mafic boudin structure (deformed Scourie dyke).
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Mafic is a term for silicate minerals or igneous rocks rich in magnesium and iron, often dark in color. Boudinage is a geological term for structures formed by extension or extrusion. Boudin is also a term used for Cajun Sausage (meat squeezed or extruded into a tube).
