Ironstone Mine (mid 19th Century).
Extensive and complex blackband ironstone workings comprising four segments. Surveying years on abandonment plan (see refs) shown as 1858-67. Shaft site, which occupies a central position, and adjacent surface bing now wood/shrubland.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Marked on geol. map as "No 26", and no surface workings shown on 1858 OS map, indicating an 1850s & 60s age for the workings.
